St. Louis Blues March by W. C. Handy (1911), arr. by Glenn Miller for the Army Air Force Band
(featuring solos by Jim Foster, drums, Glen Peterson, tenor sax, and Kay Foster, alto sax)

When You're Smiling by Larry Shay, Joe Goodwin, and Mark Fisher (1928), arr. by Tom Kubis; Louis Armstrong made this tune a standard with his recordings in 1929, 1932, and 1956.
(with flugelhorn solos by Glen Newton and Mark Syman, trading 8's, 4's, and 2's)

Nice Work if You Can Get It by George and Ira Gershwin (1937), arr. by Dave Wolpe; one of nine songs the Gershwin brothers wrote for the movie "A Damsel in Distress".

John Henry, Brass-Driving Man by Glen Newton (1997), a modern update to the legend of John Henry, steel-driving man.

Still Love You by Keith Miner (2000), arr. by Glen Newton; Keith composed this song to honor his parents on their wedding anniversary.

Don't Sit Under the Apple Tree by Lew Brown, Charles Tobias, and Sam Stept (1942); the Glenn Miller band made the first recording, but it was the version with the Harry James band and the Andrews Sisters featured in the film "Private Buckaroo" that was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 2016.

Girl from Ipanema by Antonio Carlos Jobim and Vinicius de Moraes (1962), arr. by Glenn Osser; the 1964 release of the recording by Stan Getz featured vocalist Astrud Gilberto singing the English lyrics by Normal Gimbel; that version was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 2000, and in 2004 it was one of 50 recordings chosen by the Library of Congress to be added to the National Recording Registry; Astrud Gilberto died in June, 2023, at the age of 83.

I Wish by Stevie Wonder (1976), arr. by Mike Tomaro; a chart-topping song from "Songs in the Key of Life," it talks about how he wishes he could relive his childhood in the 1950’s and early ‘60’s.
