Web site visitors who were in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, in the late 1930's might remember Ted as a high schooler who played string bass in combos around town and tuba in an old-time polka band.

If you were at the University of Wisconsin in Madison in the early 1940's, you might remember Ted as a member of the college marching band and the string bassist in the Norm Kingsley and Don Voegli big bands. Two of his memorable summers during his college years were spent playing string bass in New Orleans and at the Hotel Utah across from the Mormon Temple in Salt Lake City.

After his day job as a CPA, Ted also did a lot of string bass playing in Chicago before moving to St. Paul.
