Sheldon Theatre Brass Band

The band posed for a picture after playing in the competition.

The Sheldon Theatre Brass Band took part in the 2004 North American Brass Band Association competition in Charleston, West Virginia, the largest competition yet held in North America. With an 8:30 performance time on Saturday, April 17th, they were the first of six bands to compete in the Honors section. They began with the required selection, "Brass Metamorphosis" by James Curnow. The band's second selection, "The Land of the Long White Cloud (Aotearoa)" by Philip Sparke, was a Championship level competition piece from an earlier year.

After competing, the group posed for the picture above. Director James Kurschner is at the left end of the first row.
