Bob Nielsen

In red Roseville Big Band summer shirt, Bob plays trumpet with a wireless mic attached to the bell. Bob played a solo on "Woodchopper's Ball" in a concert at Roseville's Central Park band shell.

Bob played a solo on "Besame Mucho" at the 2010 Carleton College Mid-Winter Ball.

Role in Roseville Big Band: 

Fourth trumpet; Bob also doubles on flugelhorn and frumpet, sings on "Rosie the Riveter", and is the band's equipment manager.

Bob also subs in the Bavarian Musikmeisters and plays in brass ensembles and the big band at Roseville Lutheran Church. You may have also seen him performing with the 1994 IDS Marching Band in the Aquatennial parade, in the Macalester College Symphonic Band, the Wastebasket Musical Review pit band at Park Center High School, or in the University of Minnesota Alumni Pep Band. He is a former member of the Roseville Community Band.

While teaching science at Brooklyn Junior High in Brooklyn Park, Bob also played in the Brooklyn Junior High Jazz Ensemble.
