Commemorative Air Force Spring Big Band Hangar Dance, June 8, 2013

Before the dance the color guard from Fort Snelling made a presentation and Cindy and Terry Gardner gave free swing dance lessons. At 7:55, Stan Turner, celebrity guest emcee, introduced the dance and welcomed the dancers.

At this point, while the band took a break, Stan Turner honored all veterans and active military personnel. This was followed by the run-up of the engines of Miss Mitchell, the B-25 bomber.
After the bomber engine run-up, the Minnesota State Fire Service Memorial Pipe Band marched in and performed these selections with the Roseville Big Band:
BP1. Highland Cathedral (1 bar snare, 1 bar drone, 16 bars pipe solo (A1), then band joins (A2, B, A1, A2, B, Coda)

Terry and Cindy from TC Swing gave free swing dance lessons from 7:00 to 7:55.

Total attendance at the dance (including volunteers but not the band) was about 1300, of which over 1200 were paid attendance, and the number of dancers on the floor at the end of the third set was the largest within memory.
