At this point in the first set (9:00 p.m.), the Minnesota State Fire Service Memorial Pipe Band marched in, performed these selections with the Roseville Big Band and marched out again:

2. Rose of Kelvin Grove (form: Band intro, A (band and solo pipe), A, B, B, A, A, B, B, ending)
3. Amazing Grace, dedicated to aviation pioneer Chuck Doyle, Ray Ostlie, Bonham Cross, Phil Schacht, and all other veterans.

We continued with a swing dance exhibition number:
