Inside the Booth at Studio M

Tom Mudge ran the mixing board while Dean Sandahl assisted.

The Roseville Big Band recorded and mixed its first commercial recording using the facilities of Studio M, which was at that time independent of Minnesota Public Radio. According to chief engineer Tom Mudge, this was the last recording that the studio would make using 2-inch tape.

Engineer Tom Mudge helped producer Glen Newton find suitable background sounds for the track "Rosie the Riveter" on the recording Concert in the Park, drawing on his knowledge of the sound effects in Minnesota Public Radio's archives.
