Kari Coad

Kari plays a B natural. Kari played in the trumpet section for the Commemorative Air Force hangar dance.

Kari first subbed with the Roseville Big Band in 1993.

Kari grew up in Roseville and Arden Hills and attended Mounds View High School, where she played in the Mounds View Jazz Won! band and won the "Louis Armstrong Jazz Award" in 1986.

She studied trumpet performance at University of Minnesota with David Baldwin, Manny Laureano, Lynn Erickson and Gary Bordner. While a student, she played in the University of Minnesota orchestra and brass choir.

Kari plays trumpet for weddings and services at various local churches, both as a soloist and as an ensemble player. She also substitutes in the Allegro Sinfonia community orchestra.
