Jim Guckenberg

Jim performed with the band at the Minnesota History Center the following week. Jim and his set on the History Center plaza.
Jim plays the Roseville Big Band's timbales. Jim played timbales on "Blue Tango" and "El Sol Tambien Se Pone" at the March 22, 2002, Roosevelt Middle School Jazz Festival.

Jim currently plays with the Autobody Experience and his own jazz quartet, the Things Quartet. You can often hear him playing at the Borealis Cafe in Dinkytown.

He also subs with the Twin Cities Jazz Orchestra and is featured on their "Temporary Insanity" CD.

With degrees in Music Education and Music Performance from Lawrence University in Appleton, Wisconsin, Jim has been teaching since 1994. He teaches at Roosevelt and Jackson Middle Schools in the Anoka-Hennepin school district and also gives drum lessons from his home in Anoka.
