Greg Albing

Greg played Sammy Nestico's "Tall Cotton" at the May 16, 2006, rehearsal.

A member of the Roseville Area High School (RAHS) class of 2006, Greg played lead trombone in the RAHS jazz ensembles as well as performing in jazz combos and the Symphonic Band and Symphony Orchestra. Among Greg's musical honors was his selection as one of the outstanding soloists and receipt of a scholarship to Birch Creek Music Camp as a result of his performances at the 2006 jazz festival in LaCross, Wisconsin.

The members of the Roseville Area High School Symphonic Band voted Greg the outstanding senior musician of 2006, for which he was given the John Philip Sousa Award.

On the June 15, 2004, Roseville Big Band concert, he was the featured soloist on "Tall Cotton." Greg also played a solo on "New Orleans Jazz Portrait."

Greg was the featured guest soloist on the May 30, 2006, concert in Como Park and was also featured on the June 13, 2006, Roseville Big Band concert in Central Park and the June 17, 2006 concert at Beacon Hill Retirement Community.

He is planning to major in music education at Concordia College in Moorehead, Minnesota.
