In addition to subbing in the Roseville Big Band, Fred plays in the Minneapolis Swing Band and subs in Beasley's Big Band. He also plays in the Cutaways Jazz Quartet with former Roseville Big Band guitarist Jim Foss, bassist Steve Goranson, and drummer Dave Tuenge.
Fred also plays guitar in the Channel Cats Jazz Quartet, comprised of bass, drums, guitar, and chromatic harmonica. You might have heard the Channel Cats performing at Champps Americana in Eden Prairie, at the Brookside Bar and Grill in Marine on St. Croix, at Neumann's Bar in N. St. Paul, or at a number of other venues in and around the Twin Cities.
