Carl Meincke

Carl plays bass trombone Carl played bass trombone at the 2016 Carleton College Mid-Winter Ball.

Carl first performed with the Roseville Big Band at the February 6, 2016, Carleton College Mid-Winter Ball.

Besides subbing in the Roseville Big Band, Carl plays bass trombone in the After Hours Big Band.

Carl plays bass trombone and tuba in the Minneapolis Trombone Choir.

On the orchestral side, he plays bass trombone in the St. Croix Valley Symphony Orchestra and the East Metro Symphony Orchestra. He also plays in the UW-River Falls Symphony Band and UW-River Falls University Band. Carl also sings tenor in the Mt. Zion Lutheran Church Choir in Hudson, Wisconsin.

If Carl looks familiar to you, it might be because he taught at Hudson Middle School for 37 years. He is a past vice-president of the Wisconsin Music Educators Association and helped develop the state music standards for Wisconsin. Carl is also a private instructor of low brass and a freelance musician in the Twin Cities.
