|Role in Roseville Big Band:||
Bill is the guitarist, as well as a backup and lead vocalist, for the Twin Cities wedding band Hi-Fly, led by Mike Park. In the past, he has performed in bands throughout the upper midwest.
From 1979 through 1984, Bill played in the band Burlesque, which performed Top 40 songs from the '50s and '60s in ballrooms in Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, and the Dakotas. In 1984, the band changed its name to the Fabulous Jaguars and performed as a '50s and '60s show band for five years. You might have caught their act on Sundays at the Sheraton North or on Wednesdays at the Maplewood Bowl. The band's other venues included ballrooms in Sauk Center, Alexandria, and similar towns throughout Minnesota and the surrounding states.
Earlier, Bill played guitar in big bands at the University of Wisconsin, Platteville.
If you lived in the southwest corner of Wisconsin in 1975 through 1977, you might have danced to Bill's music when he played in Flashback, another '50s and '60s band.
Bill is also a classical guitarist. He studied with Jeffrey Van at the University of Minnesota.
In recent years, you might also have heard Bill playing in the combo at the president's house after the Hamline University graduation ceremonies.
His first performance with the Roseville Big Band was the March 19, 2006, concert at Sholom Home East in St.Paul.
