Amaka is a 2010 graduate of Champlin Park High School (CPHS), where she sang in several choirs. In Ovation 2009: Swing Time at CPHS, she was featured as the vocal soloist on "At Last." The Roseville Big Band featured Amaka on "At Last" and "Side by Side"on the July 28, 2009, concert in Roseville's Central Park.
