Swing dance 7:00-8:30 p.m., sponsored by the St. Paul Fire Foundation. Wear RBB shirts and black slacks.

Registration opened at 5:00 p.m. At 6:00 p.m. the program began with presentation of the colors, escorted by the Minnesota Fire Service Pipe Band. Fire fighter Kate Olaf led the singing of the National Anthem, accompanied on the piano by Glen Newton. Tom McDonough introduced Chief Butler, who spoke briefly. Kate Olaf sang "American Hymn" from East of Eden, accompanying herself on the piano while a slide show depicted fire fighters in action. Ryan Lyons presented some reflections, and Chief Butler invited fire fighters to begin the walk around the lake, followed by all other participants, while the Minnesota Fire Servie Pipe Band plaeyd from the dock.
